verified_user 1. Overview & Core Philosophy
At BA8M Studio ("we", "our", or "us"), we believe that your desktop screen content is strictly private and belongs solely to you. CraftSnap is engineered from the ground up as an offline-first utility for Windows 11 and Windows 10.
CraftSnap does not collect, track, profile, or sell your personal data or captured screenshots.
shield 2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- check_circle Zero Screen Leaks: Captured bitmap images, screen pixels, annotations, and cropped regions remain strictly in your local device's memory (RAM) and local storage. No screenshot data is ever uploaded to our servers.
- check_circle Zero Telemetry: CraftSnap does not include background telemetry trackers, advertising SDKs, or analytics software (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Sentry).
- check_circle No User Account: You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide personal identity details to use CraftSnap.
memory 3. Local On-Device Processing
Features such as text recognition (OCR), auto-redaction of sensitive numbers (payment cards, email addresses), and image beautification run 100% locally on your computer using native Windows APIs (Windows.Graphics.Capture and Windows.Media.Ocr). No network request is required for any of these core features.
extension 4. Optional Features & Third-Party Services
CraftSnap interacts with third parties only when you explicitly trigger specific external actions:
A. Software Purchases (LemonSqueezy & Microsoft Store)
If you purchase a Pro Lifetime license via LemonSqueezy (our Merchant of Record) or the Microsoft Store, your payment and billing information is processed directly by LemonSqueezy or Microsoft. We do not store or have access to your credit card or financial credentials.
B. License Activation (Direct Edition)
When activating a license key purchased on our website, CraftSnap sends the license key and an irreversible, one-way cryptographic hardware hash (HWID) to our API proxy to verify license seats. No personal identity information is attached.
C. Optional AI Assistance
If you explicitly click an optional AI transformation button (e.g., Table Extractor), only sanitized text tokens and geometric bounding boxes that you selected are transmitted securely via TLS to our proxy. Image bitmaps are never uploaded.
child_care 5. Children's Privacy
CraftSnap is a general productivity tool suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
